This Digest

is a ‘LoveGift’

TWO digest-type book magazines inspired the conceptu­alization of LightShare Digest (LSD). The first one is the very informative and entertaining Reader’s Digest ; the second one is the deeply inspirational and insightful Theosophical Digest.

.....RD. was started in 1922 by a young American couple, DeWitt and Lila Wallace, with an initial readership base of 1,500 original subscribers. Now published in 19 languages all over the world, it reaches close to 100 million readers every month. Theosophi­cal Digest is the quarterly publication of the Theosophical So­ciety of the Philippines. We don’t have its circulation figures, but we do see copies of its issues in libraries and bookstores ev­ery­where. Really, we are humbled and inspired by RD and TD!

We now birth a new maga­zine, seeking to mix the pro­files of these two, Light­Share Digest shall reflect in con­vergence the various rays of light, from miniscule to gigan­tic (“from fireflies to star­bursts”), about appreciat­ing ex­­perience and experienc­ing ap­preciation, about build­ing and enjoying teamwork and har­mony, about seeing holons and synergies all around, ab­out living love, peace and joy.

.....It shall strive to help us see more clearly and feel more intensely what is there to see and feel, as we all let glow and let grow the Divine Spark in souls embodied on earth. It is a Love-Gift of Light Conver­gence for all who can be and who can live what they believe.

.....Published bi-monthly by SanibLakas ng Taongba­yan Foundation, jointly with Light­­­­Share e-Group and Lam­­bat-Liwanag Network for Em­powering Paradigms, Light­­Share Digest arises to serve in convergence mainly the fast-growing Pamaya­nang Sa­nib­Lakas which em­braces to­gether all organiza­tions and networks created by the Foundation, and others that have joined this “syn­ergy community.”

.....LightShare Di­gest thus heeds this mandate from the SanibLakas Founda­tion Board in 2003, spe­ci­fically the synergetic in­tertwining referred to in these lines:

,“Develop (research, col­late, refine) and popularize the synergism-oriented pa­ra­digm shifts for human de­ve­lopment and harmony for personal appli­cation, and for academ­ic adop­tion and so­cial applica­tion. Both the per­sonal and the aca­demic com­ponents of this process and of all its sub-processes have to be inter­twined in synergy, the pers­onal com­ponent be­ing the experi­en­tial basis and ulti­mate use­fulness of the out­put, and mobilizing the academic com­po­nent as the broad and prestigious social main­streaming me­chanism…”

This mini-magazine is so designed that every issue shall carry a mixture of de­licious ingredients from the researches, conferences and publications of Lambat-Li­wanag, the per­son­al sharings among LightShare e-group members, and “clippings from all over.”

Regular sec­tions shall be developed over time, and we begin now with a few, like this “Inbox/Out­box” (Let­ters) section which we hope you, the readers, will fully support. Read our pages, then write your letters and send in your contributions in the form of articles, clip­pings, and sub­scriptions.

Finally, quot­ing the slo­gan of the e-group, we dec­lare, Light­Share is Love­Share! We love you! We are you! We are all one!
