FROM two SanibLakas Foundation members, both of them part of the LightShare e-Mail List Group, we got this pair of poems to inaugurate our "Metaphors & Passions” (Poetry) section.
.
The first one, by Mila ‘Sam’ Reyes-Garcia, is from the author’s published collection of untitled poems: somewhere between your smile and your frown, and other poems.
.
The second poem, by Karen Angela Vanni Virata (now Cristi) of the Sanib-Sining Movement for Synaesthetics, was given a melody and has become one of the favorites during “Sanib-Tinig” (musical artjams) sessions of “Sanib-Sining.”
.
We hope the readers will send in their own poems.

untitled
I watch the ants
clambering, struggling
up our wall :
busy, busy, busy
and yet
they always MAKE time
to stop.to greet.to kiss.
I wish
that you and I
were ants.

Happy Voices Together
AD SPACE
...D....................................G
I. Happy voices together,
.....................................................D
Beautiful as children’s laughter,
.................C..............................D
Resonating in each melody,
.....................G.............D
Happy spirits in harmony.
(keep same chords pattern to the end of song.)
.
II. Happy voices in communion,
Joined in simple celebration,
To the Universe we offer,
Happy voices in one prayer
.
III. La-la La-la-la La-la-la…
.
IV. Happy voices together,
In the songs that last forever,
Deep within each one’s heart,
Everybody plays a part,
